International Wine Challenge Awards (IWC)

Booths Brand Wines has won a total of 20 awards recently through the IWC competition.  It’s the first year that we have entered these awards and they are judged by a panel of wine experts led by 6 IWC Co-Chairs. The Co-Chairs, each of them leaders in their field, taste every single medal-winning wine, ensuring that only the best succeed. This year they were: Sarah Abbott MW, Tim Atkin MW, Oz Clarke, Dr. Jamie Goode, Charles Metcalfe and Peter McCombie MW. So to have won 20 awards is a real credit to the hard work of Victoria Anderson, our Wine Buyer.

As part of the IWC judging process The Booths Manzanilla Sherry won Gold, then the prestigious Manzanilla Trophy and went on to be shortlisted in the IWC Great Value Fortified category against Morrisons and Tesco.

At an awards ceremony last week at the Grosvenor London, Booths were successfully crowned the champion of this category and Victoria was invited onto stage to collect the award on behalf of Booths.
